Kitchen Magic Designer, JT Norman and Marketing Director, Joey Piazza join WFMZ for the unveiling of their new Sunrise Kitchen.
On October 6, 2023, WFMZ revealed their newest studio renovation – an upgrade to their Sunrise Kitchen. WFMZ’s Eve Russo and Jaciel Córdoba were joined by Kitchen Magic Designer, JT Norman, and Marketing Director, Joey Piazza for the unveiling of the new space.
When asked about his inspiration for the kitchen aesthetic, Noman cited the 69 News logo – blue cabinetry and gold hardware to compliment the news station’s blue and yellow emblem. As for other design aspects such as the open shelves and pantry, Kitchen Magic kept WFMZ’s viewers in mind as they created a kitchen that is equal parts stylish and functional.
Repurposing the layout of the kitchen also allowed for more counter space, featuring both laminate and quartz countertops to showcase different options available at Kitchen Magic. Kitchen designers encourage prospective customers to keep an open mind towards all remodeling options available – as seen in the Sunrise Kitchen, laminate refacing options can provide the same designer look at a more affordable price point.
For their big reveal, WFMZ asked Kitchen Magic Marketing Director, Joey Piazza, to come to the studio and be their first guest chef in the new kitchen. Piazza, coincidentally an experienced home chef, prepared several appetizers and described the space as “the ultimate hosting kitchen” and noted “with the cooking range on the island, you don’t need to turn your back to company while you’re cooking”.
WFMZ-TV first aired in 1976, and mainly serves the Lehigh Valley and Berks County. This reach includes parts of Philadelphia, as well as areas in New Jersey such as Trenton and Warren County. The channel provides over 180 hours of local news weekly with weather, traffic and sports updates, amongst other original coverage.
